Far too little

In the home game against Freiburg, Bayer didn't really know what was happening. For 45 minutes, SC Freiburg had virtually no offensive action and had not created a single chance. The Werkself seemed to have everything under control - and yet was behind shortly after the restart. And after the equalizer, Bayer seemed to be on the verge of turning the game around.

What remains are three home defeats in a row and thus has not gained the necessary self-confidence before the start of the Champions League next week. The defense like a bunch of chickens and the offense, which clearly needs to make more than two goals. And especially in the last minutes Bayer ran out of ideas and strength to equalize after all.

All more than disappointing and a setback. It doesn't help to lament that a point would have been fair. Soccer is a sport of results, and so we are left with three points out of 15 after five match days. Too little, far too little.
