Not to be avoided

After the series of defeats against consistently weaker opponents, the dismissal of Peter Bosz could unfortunately no longer be avoided, because last Sunday there had also been a heavy defeat with 3:0 at the fourth-last Hertha in Berlin.

With Hannes Wolf, the U18 national coach was loaned out by the DFB until the end of the season, but the real mover and the real news is actually the return of legend Peter Herrmann to the Werkself. Peter Herrmann is the symbol of attractive fun football and has shown in all his years that he can pull both young and older players along. That gives us courage for the rest of the season.

Again no follow up

It's like a jinx, after last week's win in Gladbach there was more than hope to follow up at home against the third last from Bielefeld. But no way: in the end it was 1:2 and the next disappointment in the current season was perfect again. All in all, and despite all the fan goggles, a point would not have been deserved against Bielefeld, who were too deep, the build-up play was too erratic and the finishing too sloppy.

From week to week, the games in front of the television become less and less emotional, I urgently need to go back to the stadium. It's been a year since I saw the Bavarians in full house in Glasgow. Okay, I was lucky enough to be there for the cup first round and against Leipzig, but none of it compares to a normal match day. Let the season end however it ends and start properly from the beginning next year.

The fun is slowly coming back

After today's away win for the Werkself in Gladbach, the fun of football is slowly coming back for me. I hope that today's win will finally put an end to this damned bad series and that the Werkself will switch back into attack mode. It's going to be damn hard to reach the Champions League. Participation in the Europa League, however, makes one dream of some away trips that are not normally on the agenda. It's been almost a year since the Bayer played in Glasgow and I still get a tingle from that Magic Night.

Next week is Bielefeld, who changed coaches earlier this week. Games against teams from the bottom of the table have never been a foregone conclusion this season, on the contrary. Then it's a matter of full concentration and getting back on track.
