Aggressiveness pays off

Both teams went into the first matchday with a lot of anticipatory praise - and were able to justify it in the first few minutes. The Werkself and Leipzig battled it out at a high level, with the game going back and forth evenly. In the end, however, the Bavarians had their first treble in the bag with a 3:2 home win.

The first half was very good, the team played aggressively from the start and thus also made the Saxons make one or two mistakes.  It shows that it is important to practice and implement standards in order to be more successful than in recent years.

After the successful start to the season, everyone is satisfied - despite conceding two goals. And that should remain the case after the next away game in Gladbach.
